HLTK 1350 - The HIV/AIDS Epidemic

(2L)(2CR) Designed to provide college students with a basic understanding of HIV infection and AIDS. The epidemiology, prevention, immune system, clinical manifestations and treatments of HIV infection and the associated diseases will be presented. Psychosocial, ethnic, cultural, and rural issues as well as ethical, legal, political, and economic concerns will be discussed.
