The major objectives of the machine tool technology program at Casper College are:
- To provide training in machine tool operation, processes, tooling, and allied areas, so that the graduate may obtain employment within machine shops or maintenance shops.
- To provide a background for those students who will be continuing their education for a four-year degree in related fields. The machine tool technology certificate program consists of 39 credits within the technical areas. It has been organized for full-time or part-time attendance. Full-time students can complete the certificate requirements within two semesters.
Note: To graduate with a certificate or degree, students must earn a “C” or better in all major requirements.

General education coursework can be completed from within or outside of the major field of study. 1. Exploration and Participation

3. Relationship with the World
(One course minimum)
4. General Education Electives
- Must be chosen from areas 1, 2, or 3 above.
5. Physical Education (1CR)
Graduation Requirements
The normal length of this program is two academic years at 15-17 credit hours per semester.
To graduate with a certificate or degree, students must earn a “C” or better in all major requirements.
A minimum of 64 approved semester credits are required for graduation. For specific graduation requirements see “Academic Policies ” and “Degree Requirements .” Note:
Only courses numbered 1000 or above can be used toward the Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, Associate of Business, Associate of Fine Arts and Associate of Applied Science Degrees. |
