Through the rapidly changing technology of metals joining processes, alloying materials, and a much broader spectrum of applications, we are entering a new dimension in fabrication and manufacturing. This has insured a continuing and increasing demand for well qualified welding technicians. With persons selecting welding as a hobby, or continuing their education for a four-year degree, every effort is made to assist students in selecting a program which will fit their needs. The major objectives of the welding technology program at Casper College are: - To provide comprehensive training in welding process and theory, blueprint understanding, welding symbol identification, along with codes and standards necessary for obtaining employment upon graduation;
- To structure courses which will provide a thorough background necessary for those students continuing their education in related fields.
Note: To graduate with a certificate or degree, students must earn a “C” or better in all major requirements.
