MUSC 2030 - Written Theory III (3CR)

(3L)(3CR) [E] A continuation of MUSC 1040. Covers two- and three-voice counterpoint; common classical schemata, including cadences, sequences, and the Rule of the Octave; the nature of chordal inversion, harmonic dissonance and resolution, chromatic alterations, and modulation; and simple classical forms. Required for all music majors.
