MATH 2490 - Topics in Mathematics (1-3CR) For students wanting to extend their knowledge in mathematics either beyond what is in a particular course or into other areas not covered in any existing course. It could also be used as an extra hour (and accompanying work) for those who desire to transfer to an institution where the corresponding course is for more credit. Course content and credit would be approved by the mathematics department. Depending on the topic(s), the course might involve lecture, laboratory and research.
Prerequisites: Sufficient mathematics to handle the project.
